A Case Report of Adrenal Pseudocyst

Abstract

|
Cysts of the adrenal gland are rare pathological lesions which present difficult problems in diagnosis and treatment.
Recently we experienced a large right adrenal cyst in 45 year old woman. This housewife complained of dull pain in the right upper abdomen for 6 years. Physical examination revealed a cystic filling tumor mass with smooth surface, measuring a bout 10 cm in diameter, which located in right upper abdomen.
At operation through right thoracoabdominal incision, the cystic mass was found at retroperitoneal space between right kidney and liver. The tumor was completely removed without difficulty. Pathologically, it was confirmed as adrenal pseudocyst. A brief review of the pertinent literatures were made.
